Being a mom

     Being a mom is the most rewarding job anyone could ever have. At times it can be hard, but I would not change it for the world. You are always on call 24/7, teaching them new things everyday, and chasing away monsters in the middle of the night. I have always been able to tell when my daughter is up to something. Even when she was about 3 months old, her dad was about to change her diaper and I was making her bottle but I told him to wait that she was not done pooping, but he did not want to wait. So, he went to change her and not two seconds after he got her diaper off she pooped all down his arm and on his pants. I guess it is just a mother's instinct to be able to feel what our kid is doing. 
     I love being able to teach my daughter anything and everything she wants to learn. We always do puzzles together and read books. I am about to start working with her on how to write her name at least and possibly the alphabet. She loves learning new things and wants to be more independent and I am all for it. I want her to be a successful adult one day.

 

 

Country LIfe

 

     Being out in the country is so relaxing. I can relax and enjoy the outdoors without hearing a million cars drive by. My boyfriend and I have a place out in the country with forty acres of land and for us it is the best place in the world. One day we want to eventually live out there permanently. We have neighbors, but they are not right on top of us like they are in Baytown. 
     I would rather have to drive thirty miles to the grocery store than have it right down the road and neighbors all around and basically no privacy. Also the people are a lot nicer in the country as well. They always greet you with a smile and a hello. The city life is not the life that I want to have I am a country girl all the way.

 




                                                                                

The Birthmark

     In the story, The Birthmark, her husband does not like her birthmark and wants to find a way to get rid of it, but everyone else that she knows love her birthmark. It looks like a little hand print as it is described in the story. In my opinion, she should have kept the birthmark and not let him find a way to get rid of it. Because in the end he ends up getting rid of the birthmark, but he also kills the one he loves in the process of trying to get rid of the only thing he disliked about her. 
     I think we should appreciate what we have in life and not what we don't have. Instead of always looking at the negative side of things people should try to look at the positives and try to bring out the best in people. We would all appreciate for someone to point out our good qualities instead of our bad qualities.

The Day I Left Home

 

     The day I moved out of my parents house was both a happy and sad day. I was excited to be moving into my own place and able to do whatever I wanted to do. At the same time though, I would have to start paying for everything completely on my own. My parents had me paying for some of my bills growing up, so I would learn how to manage my money and learn responsibilities. And I am thankful they did that because I know how to manage my money.
      When I moved out, me and my boyfriend at the time moved all the way to Pennsylvania with the money we had saved. We didn't have jobs when we got there and we couldn't find jobs for the month we were there. It was defiantly a learning experience. We lived very poor for a couple months until we finally came back to Texas and got our jobs back and were able to support ourselves. I am so thankful that my parents taught me responsibilities and everything that goes along with being an adult.

"How Do I Look"

Tattoos and piercings are a way for a person to express themselves. I have seven tattoos and I use to have a lot of piercings, but I had to take them out for work. I think in the future, jobs will allow people to have tattoos and piercings showing. In my opinion, as long as the tattoos are not trashy or gang related it should not be a problem. All of my tattoos can be hidden and i don't think any of my tattoos are trashy. They also all have some sort of great memory attached to them. Tattoos and piercings are a way of expressing yourself.

America Land of the Loners?

    In my life, I have always had plenty of people around me to never be alone. I had plenty of friends growing up, but at the same time I never felt complete. Friends come and go throughout your entire life.

            When I had my daughter I felt more complete, but still not all the way. It wasn’t until recently that I finally felt complete. I found that one person that I can talk about anything and everything with and not feel judged about anything I say. I found my soul mate and now I know I will never be alone again. I think everyone needs to find that one person that they want to be with and that makes them happy. There is someone out there for everyone, you just have to be willing to open your eyes and look for that person. Then America wouldn’t be considered the land of the loners.
